Celebrate at the Gutshof

We would like to invite you to host your party at our lovingly restored 16th century castle estate. Enjoy the historic rustic ambience and informal, family atmosphere with your guests. The vaulted hall is located in the middle wing of the 300-year-old barn in a former horse stable. The horseshoe-shaped  building has the typical red brick windows of the region with Italian and Slavic influences.

The banqueting hall, furnished with stylish all-wood furniture and the charming inner courtyard with its vine-covered wooden façade are available for private celebrations such as weddings, birthdays and christenings as well as seminars and conferences.

History of the house and its residents:

Family owned since 1914

The village of Gundersdorf was first mentioned in 1245 in a deed of gift from Duke Bernhard. At that time it was called Hundreinsdorf or Hundrensdorf. However, there is no mention of a castle or a palace for centuries. However, there may have been a farm or an agricultural estate. Anton von Dreer had the existing building converted into a manor house around the middle of the 18th century. Josef Plasch bought the estate in 1802, followed by Jakob Ulbing in 1834. In the later 19th century, the owners, who included Alfred von Offermann (1883) and Reinhold von Mohrenschildt (1886), changed quite frequently. In 1914, Johann Tauschitz bought the property, whose descendants still farm it today.
