Holidays in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli wine region
The Colutta winery is located in the picturesque village of Manzano, in the famous wine-growing area of Colli Orientali del Friuli, between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea.
In the main villa there are some small flats where you can enjoy a relaxing break from everyday life, accompanied by the scents of the countryside and the perfumes that inspire the senses.
There are four apartments, each with its own "life" and a unique feature that recalls the traditions of Friuli. Each bears the name of a local grape variety. The flats are comfortably furnished with a mix of modern, functional furniture and antique furnishings and are equipped with air conditioning, TV, telephone, wi-fi and all other modern comforts. .
The central geographical position of the property allows guests to visit the sea at Lignano Sabbiadoro, Grado and Trieste, the mountains at Tarvisio Alpi Giulie e Dolomiti carniche and fascinating, picturesque towns such as Udine, Gorizia, Aquileia and Palmanova.
Guests feel welcome and right at home in the cosy surroundings. They find the right atmosphere to relax by the pool or while tasting the sensational wines. Georgio Calutto, the owner of the house himself, is happy to let his guests into the secrets of his wine during a tasting.

History of the house and its residents:
About life in the countryside
The former manor house dates back to the 17th century. It experienced many stormy times, changing owners and exploitation, stood empty for many decades and was purchased and saved by the Colutta family at the beginning of the 20th century.
Originally, grapes, maize and mulberry trees for the silkworms were cultivated.
In 1999, the estate was completely renovated once again. The old walls were exposed and the old beams were brought back into the light. A photovoltaic system and a newly built heating system powered by wood from the prunings make the estate self-sufficient in environmentally friendly green energy.
Today, the estate belongs to Giorgio Colutta, the third generation to run it with great passion.
The wine
Since 1968, quality wines have been produced sustainably on 22 hectares from the vineyards of Buttrio, Manzano and Rosazzo and sold worldwide. The wines have received some notable awards.
The microclimate and topographical location are ideal for producing wines of great character, which are successful worldwide and have been approved and awarded by the most prestigious magazines such as Wine Spectator and Decanter.
The property is part of the vine and wine park "Parco della Vite e del Vino dei Colli Orientali del Friuli", 15 km from Udine.
